DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) -- A new documentary will soon shine a light on the ties between Miami University and American football.

The Oxford located university has seen a herald of NFL coaches who once called the school home.

The documentary will feature names like Dayton's own Sean McVay (St. Louis Rams), John Harbaugh (Baltimore Ravens) and more as nearly 80 people were interviewed for the film.

The collection of eventual coaches over the years earned them the name "The Cradle of Coaches," which was coined by Bob Kurz, '58.

The nickname serves as the title of the documentary as well.

"The Cradle of Coaches represents remarkable achievements, steadfast leadership, and is iconic in the world of football," said David Sayler, Miami's director of Athletics. "We are proud that our story is being told in this way and that the legend of the Cradle of Coaches will reach new generations through this documentary."

Bengals owner Mike Brown, current Bengals coach Zac Taylor, College Football Hall of Fame inductee Lou Holtz, and former Miami and Pittsburgh Steeler quarterback Ben Roethlisberger are a few other perspectives that will be featured in the documentary.

Cincinnati-based video production company, RESLV (pronounced resolve) will premiere the film next Spring.
