Road signs are going missing in the town of Dodge in Trempealeau County.

"These signs are essential for public safety, efficient navigation, and timely emergency response. We are asking for the community's help in locating the missing signage," stated the Trempealeau County Sheriff's Office on Facebook.

Five road signs have been reported stolen from the town, including signs for Pine Creek Ridge Road, Schmickle Valley Road and Galewski Road, an ATV route sign, and a sign warning about a bump ahead.

The cost to replace and reinstall each sign is "several hundred dollars," the sheriff's office stated on Facebook.

People with information related to where the signs may have gone or any related suspicious activity is asked to contact the sheriff's office by calling dispatch at 715-538-4351 or send an email to travis.mcdonah@co.trempealeau.wi.us.
