Washington, D.C. point guard lists Tennessee basketball in top 10 schools

Tennessee is closing in on a prospect for its 2026 basketball recruiting class.

Four-star point guard Anthony Brown Jr. announced Tennessee in his top 10 schools, along with VCU, Vanderbilt, Memphis, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Villanova, Mississippi State, Maryland and UCF, according to Joe Tipton of Rivals.

The 6-foot-1, 160-pound prospect plays for Archbishop Carroll High School in Washington, D.C. 247Sports ranks Brown Jr. as the No. 12 point guard in the class and the No. 1 player in Washington, D.C.

Tennessee offered him a scholarship on June 23. Schools outside of Brown Jr.'s top 10 who offered him a scholarship include George Mason, Providence, Norfolk State, Syracuse, Old Dominion, College of Charleston, St. Louis, Morehead State, Saint Joseph's and Richmond.
