Tragedy has struck the cricket world! Bengal's rising star, Priyajit Ghosh, passed away at just 22 years old due to a heart attack during a gym session. This talented cricketer's life journey ended abruptly on Friday morning, leaving friends, relatives, and teammates in mourning.

Priyajit, a resident of Bolpur in Birbhum district, had big dreams - he wanted to play for Bengal in the Ranji Trophy and eventually knock on the national team's door. Cricket was more than just a sport to him; it was his meditation. His cricket journey began at the district level, where he excelled as the highest run-getter in the inter-district under-16 cricket tournament organised by the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) in the 2018-19 season. He was even honoured by the CAB, and that medal still holds a special place in his room.

On Friday, Priyajit went to a gym in the Mission Compound area of Bolpur to stay fit, just like Virat Kohli advocates. Tragically, while sweating during his workout, he suddenly fell ill and succumbed to a heart attack. His untimely death has shocked the Bengal cricket community.
