The organisers of the Bray Air Display 2025 have urged visitors to the event to make their plans now, so they won't be left disappointed when the show takes over Bray Seafront on Saturday, August 2, with an action-packed programme for all ages.

The day begins at noon with funfair and other stalls opening up. The first of the Bray Air Display acts will take to the skies from approximately 3.00pm, subject to weather and operational conditions.

To facilitate the event, there will be a number of temporary road closures and traffic restrictions in place. Anyone travelling to Bray by car should take note of the official car parks which will be open early on the day, but the advice is to try and use public transport.

Road closures:

From early morning on Saturday, August 2, the following roads will be closed: Strand Road, Albert Avenue, Sidmonton Avenue, Convent Avenue, Seapoint Road, and Putland Road to the first junction on Newcourt Road.

All access to Strand Road will be fully restricted from 10am, including for residents and businesses. No parking will be permitted on Strand Road from 7am, and illegally parked vehicles or those left overnight will be towed. Deliveries to businesses along Strand Road and adjoining roads must be completed before 10am.

Parking:

Event car parks open at 10 am, and pre-booking is mandatory. Attendees must book online in advance and are strongly advised to arrive before 2 pm, as parking is only guaranteed up to that time.

The south car park (at Ardmore Rovers) is for traffic travelling from Wicklow/Wexford via the N11 and the north car park (Colaiste Raithin) is for those travelling from Dublin/North Leinster via the M50 or N11.

A complimentary shuttle service will only run from the south car park to the event site, with the last pick-up at 7:30pm. All car parks will close at 8pm, and the event site will close at 10pm. Overnight parking is not permitted and will result in towing.

Parking is pre-book only at brayairdisplay.com/parking2025/, and access is not guaranteed after 2pm.

Public transport:

Bray has a substantial public transport network, both north from Dublin and south from County Wicklow and Wexford. Visitors can travel by Bray Dar and the mainline Iarnród Éireann rail network, which connects north to Connolly Station in Dublin city centre.

Five bus companies also pass through Bray: Dublin Bus, Go-Ahead Ireland on behalf of Transport for Ireland, Bus Éireann, Finnegan's Bray and St Kevin's Bus Service to Glendalough. Bus Éireann's Route 131, which connects Wicklow Town and Bray, will operate as usual.

However, there may be bus route diversions in place, including the L14 Palermo to Southern Cross Road route.

Iarnród Éireann will operate an extensive programme of additional DARTs to/from Bray on Saturday, August 2 but that bikes will not be permitted. Dublin Bus will provide enhanced services on route E1 from Dublin City Centre.

To make travel easier for Luas customers, a shuttle bus service will operate from the Green Line at the Brides Glen stop. From there, spectators can easily access a shuttle bus service that will take them close to the event site in Bray. You can book a shuttle bus on brayairdisplay.com

The Bray Air Display 2025 line-up (not in order of appearance and is subject to changes) includes:

In addition, the event team is honoured once again to welcome the Irish Defence Forces Naval Service, with one of their LE Fleet vessels anchored offshore, providing a majestic maritime backdrop. The official 2025 souvenir programme will be available as a free digital download closer to the event.

Accessibility

Visitors to Bray Air Display 2025 who require disabled and special needs access can be assured there are ample facilities available, including parking and accessible toilets.

There is parking for disabled persons at the official car parks but the standard fee for parking applies to disabled parking and the Blue Badge scheme / European Parking Card does not apply.

The 'South Event Car Park', at Ardmore Rovers, Ballywaltrim, is for traffic approaching from the south via N11 - Wicklow/Wexford direction. A complimentary shuttle bus to the event will service the south car park ONLY and will start operating at 10am. The drop-off/pick up point is close to the event site and the last pick-up from the event site is at 7:30 pm sharp.

The shuttle bus operator will provide safe and accessible access to all its passengers, regardless of their mobility difficulties, age or disabilities.

The 'North Event Car Park', at Colaiste Raithin/Old Golf Club lands, is for traffic approaching from Dublin via M50 or N11. Spectators will have direct access to the event from these car parks via Bray Harbour.

The event site is along Bray Seafront which is only a short distance away and organisers have assured wheelchair users that the event takes place on a relatively flat 1km long outdoor site that is wheelchair accessible.

There is a drop-off point for disabled persons on Adelaide Road, Bray. You must have a valid European Parking Card prominently displayed in a visible position to access this road and drop off and it is advisable to arrive early to avoid congestion.

Specific unisex wheelchair accessible toilets will be available at the event.

Transport for Ireland has advised that spectators should try to use public transport to get to and from Bray, as traffic restrictions will be in place and disabled persons will only be able to access the drop-off point on Adelaide Road.

Finally, for individuals with sensory needs, the organisers have advised that some of the vintage aircraft taking part are less noisy than the high-speed jets. However, the advice is to come prepared as unfortunately, the roar of the jets is unavoidable, it is "part and parcel of the Bray Air Display".

"Some children wear ear protection, some do not. It is completely up to you. The roar of the jets along with large crowds may make some spectators, who are sensitive to noise distressed and perhaps increase their fears. Parental guidance is always advised."
