The Oregon Ducks and Oregon State Beavers have established one of college football's most storied rivalries throughout the years, having matched up against each other 128 times. The 129th meeting will take place this Saturday at Autzen Stadium, as the Ducks will look to improve on their 69-49-10 series lead over the Beavers.

The rivalry has become a mainstay for the two programs, as they've competed annually since 1945. But that streak will soon be broken, as the in-state rivals are not set to match up in 2026.

But after reportedly reaching a scheduling agreement, according to The Oregonian, the rivalry will be renewed during the 2027 season and played each season until 2032, with the two teams battling as non-conference opponents.

That's been the case since the Ducks departed for the Big Ten conference at the conclusion of the 2023 campaign. Last season, the game, which was played in Week 3 instead of Week 4 this year, saw Oregon come away with a comfortable 49-14 victory in Reser Stadium in Corvallis. The game had no bearing on conference records, as it was, and will be in the future, considered a non-conference meeting and will only count towards the overall record for both teams.

It's unfortunate that conference realignment led to the rivalry being put on hold next season, but's nice to know that it will be renewed come 2027 and secured as a spot on both programs' schedules for the following six seasons.
