Evan Simon hasn't been sleeping on the job. In fact, he's literally been sleeping at Temple's Edberg-Olson Hall football complex for the last two weeks, he told reporters, as the Owls' quarterback competition moves along. That was one of the gems to come from Thursday's media day session, and you can hear the media day interviews from Simon and head coach K.C. Keeler on this week's podcast, along with part of a OwlScoop 1-on-1 interview with former Temple linebacker Tyler Matakevich as he recalled how the Owls carved up Penn State's offensive line in their 27-10 upset win over the Nittany Lions back in 2015.
