The 25-year-old, who recently left Scottish outfit St Mirren, becomes the third new face to arrive at Adams Park following the acquisitions of James Tilley from AFC Wimbledon and Dan Casey from Motherwell, respectively.
The Free Press also understands the ex-Birmingham City and Middlesbrough man rejected offers from a host of other League 1 clubs to link up with Wanderers' head coach, Mike Dodds.
The two worked together when at the Blues between 2016 and 2021, before Dodds left for Sunderland.
Wycombe's head coach said: "Caolan was a fantastic young talent at Birmingham, and I'm excited to work with him again and develop his game further now that he's picked up great experience in senior football in the last few years.
"He's an energetic player and suits the way we want to play, and we're looking forward to bringing him into the squad for the new season."
Tom Stockwell, Director of Football Strategy, added: "Caolan is another exciting addition to the squad with experience in both England and Scotland with Birmingham, Middlesbrough and St Mirren, and we're confident he will hit the ground running.
"He enjoyed an excellent season personally after breaking into the Northern Irish squad and attracted a lot of interest, but when he heard about the ambition of the project here - coupled with his previous working relationship with Mike at Birmingham - he chose to be part of what we're building and we're looking forward to seeing him in the heart of the Wycombe midfield next season."
Boyd-Munce, who has also played for Glentoran and Redditch United, made his debut for the Northern Irish first team in 2024 and has since earned two caps for his country
His move remains subject to EFL and FA approval and international clearance.
