More than 260 teams representing 25 different nations will feature in the non-contact version of rugby league.

Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate welcomed the event which would flood the region with visitors ahead of the summer school holidays.

"I am thrilled the 3PTAG officials have chosen our city to host the 2025 All-Nations tournament," Tate said.

"This tournament has all the ingredients for a fantastic weekend of sport, showcasing this exciting, non-contact form of rugby league.

"Let's make this (event) debut (on the Gold Coast) one to remember.''

The carnival, for youth players aged under-12 to under-18, will be staged at the renowned Runaway Bay Sports Complex.

Matt Hartigan, and his wife Teaghan, founded the south east Queensland 3PTAG carnival that has grown from 34 teams in 2021 to now a whopping 265 teams.

Hartigan said the aim was to "create an environment that celebrates culture and builds cultural connections".

"We believe sport and food are the perfect tools to bring people together," Hartigan smiled.

"This isn't just a tournament. It's a celebration of athleticism, culture, sportsmanship and the unbridled spirit of competition.''

In the past more than a dozen future NRL footballers, like Titans rising star Keano Kini, have set the school-age competition alight.

3PTAG started in Queensland and now more than 6000 school students play across the Sunshine State and in New South Wales.

Last month a 3PTAG Queensland Junior Mod All Nations carnival was staged for participants from under-9s to under-11s to get involved. See below more than 40 of the finest photos from the event staged in Beenleigh.
